Hot Wet Kiss is in celebration of warm summer evenings and zingy lip action. Gorgeous iced, in a martini glass or steeped with honey in a thick, warm mug, Hot Wet Kiss is...

   “Bright Raspberry!”

   “Zingy Tongue Tingler!”

   “Berry & Floral”

   “My favorite!”

Hibiscus - the flower that gives that sumptuous rouge color to the tea and that berry blast, is grown in warm, wet climates, as are the rest of the ingredients! Take a minute to breathe in those steamy, wild lands.

Brew for 10-15 minutes

Use 1 tbsp of tea per 8 ounces of 200°F water

Want to know more about the ingredients? Here’s how some of them are traditionally used around the world:

According to The Naturopathic Herbalist Ginger (Zingiber) increases the flow of saliva and is a stimulating tonic for the digestive system. It reduces cramping, gas and nausea. It’s indicated for motion sickness, and increases the peripheral circulation and detoxifies the body from toxins associated with rheumatism. Orange peel is added to formulas that treat mild indigestion, nausea, constipation, and organ prolapse, says the American Botanical Council while a clinical study published through the National Institute of Health suggests citrus has an anti-anxiety effect. Herbalist Jon Keyes says hibiscus helps regulate and lower high blood pressure, regulate blood sugar levels and that lemongrass has a dispersive quality that makes it useful for eliminating and excreting unnecessary waste particles and helping the body to function more smoothly and efficiently. Licorice has flavonoids which are antioxidants that work to protect liver cells and help digestive tract cells heal. Not inconsequentially, licorice is also recommended in the Chinese medicine practices referenced at Acupuncture Today to soothe the digestive tract.

Everything you put in your body has an effect on you. Folk Tea suggests that you consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using herbal products, particularly if you take other medications, or if you are nursing, pregnant, or expecting to become pregnant.
